IDOLATRY-15/The Predicted Path of Worshiping Idols of Nature

Know your CREATOR, know yourself and know the difference

1: False Brides

Last class we saw that by speaking in plural before making Adam,
ELKM opened the door for idolaters to erroneously believe they have more than One CREATOR.

Hence whomever ELKM consulted with in plural voice before making Adam, would serve as a potential IDOLATRY trap.

It is as if the very consultation with ELKM has rendered this entity a magic status in Adam’s eyes. Adam would forever be fascinated by it and even worship it like a false bride.

Let’s see if this interpretation could predict the path of IDOLATRY in history.

before making Adam, ELKM turned to each of the Six Days, Consulted it like a Builder consulting his master plan, and made a layer in Adam accordingly.

This way Adam is made of Nature, a summary of everything created before him.

This way Adam was made an eligible king of his habitat, since it says “from among your brother you shall have your king.” A King Who Consults must come from among his subjects. Otherwise, how could he comprehend their whims and answer their wishes?

This Consultation with the Six Days was a precious gift by ELKM. But as a rule of thumb, ELKM creates only for a judgment.  Hence this Consultation also opened the door for idolaters to worship Nature instead of its CREATOR, ELKM.  let’s see how this has played in history.

2: The Predicted IDOLATRY in History

A Hassidic tell says it all:
After their sin in Eden, the CREATOR YHVH ELKM called Adam (and his wife) “Where are you” (Ge3: 9) hopping that they would confess and repent.  But Adam and his wife failed to do so and hide behind a bush. Adam blamed his wife, and she the serpent. As a result, they were all driven out to live on Earth.

Since then the reverse is true: Adam hears the CREATOR calling “Adam, where are you? Come to me!” Only that this time the CREATOR is hiding BEHIND NATURE, while Adam is seeking him.

Idols of the Sixth Day

Adam, living now on the Sixth Day of CREATION, hears the CREATOR calling “Adam where are you? Come to me!”

Adam now seeks the CREATOR in items made close to him on the Sixth Day: like in Crawling Creatures, Snakes, Beasts and Cattle.  So fascinated Adam becomes by these creatures, so awesome they look in his eyes, that he adores them and even warship them, thinking they are his CREATOR.  Had not ELKM consulted with these creatures to make Adam?

This way Cave Man was fascinated with Powerful Beasts, depicting them on the walls of his cave’s walls. The ancient Chinese were fascinated with Snakes and Dragons and worshiped them. The ancient Philistines worshiped Flies (see the Book of Judges) and the ancient Egyptians, as well as the  people of India, worshiped Beasts and Holy Cows.

But Adam’s knowledge grows, and he realizes the fallacy of these idols. yet he keeps hearing the CREATOR calling him

Idols of the Fifth Day

Still hearing the CREATOR calling “Adam, where are you? Come to me!” Adam seeks the CREATOR deeper in Nature, in more remote items than in his close surrounding.
He seeks the CREATOR in things created on the Fifth Day of CREATION, such as Crocodiles, Birds and Fish.

So fascinated is Adam by these creatures, so awesome they look now in his eyes that he adores them and even worship them, instead of his true CREATOR.  Indeed, had not ELKM consulted the Fifth Day’s creature to make Adam?

Thus the ancient Egyptians worshiped Crocodiles, Birds and Fish. They depicted their gods with faces of these creatures. Other ancient cultures worshiped Eagles and Whales.

But as Adam’s knowledge progresses, he discovers the fallacy of these Fifth Days’ idols. Yet he keeps hearing the CREATOR calling him

Idols of the Fourth Day

Still hearing the CREATOR calling him, “Adam, where are you? Come to me!” Adam seeks the CREATOR deeper in Nature, in things created on the Fourth Day.   He seeks Him in the Sun, Moon and Celestial Bodies. So fascinated is Adam by these awesome forces, that he adores them and even worships them, instead of his true CREATOR. Indeed, had not ELKM consulted the Fourth Day’s creatures and made Adam?

Thus the Babylonians worshiped Celestial bodies and developed Astrology. The Egyptians and the Greek and the Romans followed suit.

But as Adam’s knowledge progresses, he discovers the fallacy of these idols. yet he keeps hearing the CREATOR Calling him.

Idols of the Third and Second Days

Still hearing the CREATOR calling “Adam, where are you? Come to me! Adam seeks the CREATOR deeper in CREATION then ever before.  he seeks Him in things created on the Third and Second Days, like in majestic Mountains, Trees, Volcanoes. Oceans, strong winds. Indeed and fertility itself.  Had not ELKM consulted these Third and Second Days items to make Adam?

The sophisticated Canaanites worshiped magnificent trees and high mountains and the gods of fertility, like the Baal and Ashtoreth.   The Greek too worshiped tall mountains and beautiful trees.

But as Adam’s knowledge progresses, he discovers the fallacy of these idols. yet he keeps hearing the CREATOR calling him.

Idols of the First Day of CREATION

Still hearing the CREATOR calling: “Adam, where are you? Come to me!” Adam seeks the CREATOR in the deepest layers of CREATION, in Space, Chaos, Energy, Darkness and Light. He seeks Him in the Beginning itself, in the Big Bang, and even in the putative pre Universe Universes.  Adam even seeks Him in the Wisdom and Science itself, or in Consciousness.

Many scientists of today follow the above path of IDOLATRY trap. They seek a CREATOR in our very consciousness, something supported by  our Quantum Physics. .

As you see, the entire course of human spiritual  journey is predicted by the miraculous Chapter One of Genesis.
Who told that fascinating story to Moses?

Now, with who else did ELKM consult before making Adam? Who else can be a false bride?
